Baccarat Rules

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards under ten are said to be at face value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they simply depict the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of 2 cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for any hand shall be the sum total of the two cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of seven as well as 5 will have a value of 2 (7plus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card could be dealt depending on the foll. protocols:

- If the player or banker has a value of 8 or nine, both gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart will be used to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay at 19 to 20 (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure that you have money still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie normally pays out at 8 to 1 and sometimes nine to one. (This is not a good wager as ties happen lower than one every 10 hands. Stay away from placing bets on a tie. Even so odds are actually better – nine to 1 vs. eight to one)

When played effectively, baccarat provides relatively decent odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known false impressions. One of which is very similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is not an actual indicator of future outcomes. Staying abreast of prior conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and almost certainly most successful method is the one-three-2-six technique. This tactic is employed to build up earnings and controlling risk.

commence by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th bet.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
