Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are of a value less than 10 are worth face value and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they only represent the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand shall be the total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is removed. For example, a hand of seven … 5 results in a total of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be given depending on the following codes:

- If the bettor or banker has a total score of 8 or nine, the two gamblers stand.

- If the player has five or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores will be the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so make sure that you have funds left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie usually pay out 8 to 1 and sometimes nine to one. (This is a bad gamble as ties will happen less than 1 every ten hands. Avoid laying money on a tie. Regardless odds are substantially better – nine to 1 versus 8 to one)

When played smartly, baccarat offers fairly good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not a predictor of future actions. Tracking of last outcomes on a chart is a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and feasibly most successful tactic is the one-3-2-6 technique. This process is deployed to amplify profits and controlling risk.

commence by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away four so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a value of six on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Therefore you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
