Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than 10 are counted at their printed number whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they only appear as the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for any hand is the sum of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 7 as well as five gives a value of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card could be given depending on the following codes:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of 8 or 9, both gamblers stand.

- If the player has five or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart shall be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a five % commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie as a rule pays out at 8 to 1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a crazy wager as ties will happen less than one every ten hands. Stay away from placing bets on a tie. Nonetheless odds are radically better – 9 to 1 versus 8 to 1)

When done properly, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, away from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future happenings. Keeping track of past conclusions on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most popular and possibly most successful technique is the 1-three-2-6 method. This scheme is deployed to accentuate winnings and limiting risk.

Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a value of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you lose on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
