Baccarat Banque Regulations

Baccarat banque is gambled on with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than ten are counted at their printed number and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Bets are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand is the total of the cards, but the beginning digit is dumped. For example, a hand of 5 and 6 has a score of one (5 plus 6 equals eleven; drop the first ‘one’).

A 3rd card may be given using the following rules:

- If the gambler or house has a value of 8 or 9, both players stay.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he takes a card. Players otherwise stay.

- If the gambler holds, the banker takes a card on five or lower. If the player hits, a chart is used to decide if the house stays or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 hands wins. Winning bets on the house pay out 19:20 (even payout less a 5% rake. The Rake is kept track of and cleared out once you leave the game so make sure you have cash left before you quit). Winning bets on the player pays 1 to 1. Winning wagers for a tie normally pays out at eight to one but occasionally nine to one. (This is a bad bet as a tie occurs less than 1 in every ten rounds. Avoid putting money on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for 9 to 1 vs. 8:1)

Played properly baccarat chemin de fer gives pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Punto Banco Course of Action

As with all games punto banco has quite a few established myths. One of which is the same as a absurdity in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of future events. Keeping track of past outcomes on a sheet of paper is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and possibly the most accomplished plan is the one, three, two, six plan. This tactic is employed to maximize winnings and limit risk.

Begin by placing one unit. If you win, add another to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 chips on the second bet. Should you win you will hold six on the game table, remove 4 so you keep 2 on the third round. Should you succeed on the 3rd round, put down two on the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you do not win on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A profit on the first round followed by a hit on the second causes a loss of 2. Success on the initial two with a defeat on the third provides you with a profit of 2. And success on the 1st three with a defeat on the 4th means you experience no loss. Winning at all four wagers gives you with 12, a take of 10. This means you can lose the second bet five instances for each successful streak of 4 wagers and in the end, balance the books.
