Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under 10 are said to be at face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum of the two cards, but the very first digit is removed. For example, a hand of 7 as well as 5 results in a total score of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card may be dealt depending on the following regulations:

- If the bettor or banker has a total of 8 or nine, each players stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have funds left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie normally pay 8 to 1 and occasionally nine to 1. (This is an awful gamble as ties will happen less than 1 every ten hands. Stay away from wagering on a tie. Nevertheless odds are significantlly better – nine to one vs. 8 to one)

When done effectively, baccarat presents pretty good odds, away from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with every games, Baccarat has some established myths. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not a predictor of future outcomes. Keeping track of past conclusions on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and almost certainly most successful strategy is the one-3-2-6 technique. This process is deployed to pump up profits and cutting back risk.

Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
