Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than ten are counted at face value meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they simply appear as the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards will then be given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for each hand shall be the sum of the two cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 as well as 5 has a score of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card could be dealt depending on the following rules:

- If the player or banker has a tally of eight or nine, then both gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores will be the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even odds minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have cash remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay 8 to 1 and on occasion nine to one. (This is a terrible gamble as ties will happen lower than one every ten hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. Even so odds are actually better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to one)

Played correctly, baccarat provides fairly good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some common myths. 1 of which is very similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is surely not a predictor of future outcomes. Tracking of historic conclusions on a chart is simply a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most common and feasibly most successful strategy is the one-three-two-six concept. This method is employed to magnify winnings and minimizing risk.

Begin by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum of six on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the initial wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
