Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than ten are counted at face value and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they just represent the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for every hand will be the sum of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of seven … five produces a value of two (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card can be dealt depending on the following rules:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of 8 or nine, both bettors stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart might be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have money remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie by and large pays out at 8 to 1 but sometimes 9 to one. (This is not a good bet as ties happen less than one every ten hands. Definitely don’t try placing bets on a tie. However odds are exceedingly better – nine to 1 versus eight to one)

When done accurately, baccarat presents fairly good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with every games, Baccarat has some established myths. One of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is not an actual indicator of future results. Staying abreast of historic results on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and almost certainly most successful technique is the 1-3-2-six technique. This technique is deployed to maximize winnings and reducing risk.

start by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth bet.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
