Baccarat Rules

Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued under 10 are valued at face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they merely symbolize the two hands to be played).

Two hands of two cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand will be the total of the two cards, but the first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of 7 and five will have a score of two (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card may be played depending on the following regulations:

- If the player or banker has a tally of eight or 9, both gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart might be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay at 19 to 20 (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so be sure to have $$$$$ left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay 8 to one but sometimes nine to 1. (This is a bad gamble as ties will happen lower than 1 every 10 hands. be wary of wagering on a tie. Nevertheless odds are somewhat better – 9 to one versus eight to 1)

When done accurately, baccarat offers generally good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some established myths. 1 of which is very similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future events. Keeping track of old conclusions on a chart is for sure a total waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and almost certainly most successful technique is the 1-3-two-6 method. This process is employed to maximize wins and cutting back risk.

start by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the third gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of 6 on the 4th bet.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
