Punto Banco Regulations
Baccarat is enjoyed with eight decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below ten are worth their printed number and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is one. Wagers are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the 2 hands that are dealt).
Two cards are dealt to both the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The score for each hand is the sum total of the 2 cards, although the 1st number is dropped. e.g., a hand of five and 6 has a score of one (5 plus six equals eleven; ditch the first ‘1′).
A third card could be given based on the rules below:
- If the gambler or bank has a total of eight or nine, the two players hold.
- If the player has less than 5, she hits. Players stays otherwise.
- If the gambler holds, the bank takes a card on five or lower. If the gambler hits, a guide is used to decide if the bank stays or takes a card.
Baccarat Odds
The better of the 2 hands wins. Winning wagers on the bank payout 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5% rake. Commission are recorded and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you still have money around just before you quit). Winning wagers on the player pays 1:1. Winning wagers for tie normally pay 8:1 but sometimes nine to one. (This is a poor bet as a tie occurs less than one in every ten rounds. Avoid putting money on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for nine to one versus 8 to 1)
Played properly baccarat chemin de fer offers pretty good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Punto Banco Method
As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has quite a few familiar myths. One of which is the same as a misconception in roulette. The past is not an indicator of future actions. Keeping score of past outcomes at a table is a waste of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.
The most common and definitely the most favorable method is the one-three-two-six plan. This method is employed to pump up winnings and limit losses.
Begin by placing 1 unit. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the table for a grand total of three chips on the second bet. If you win you will hold six on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. Should you win the third round, put down two on the four on the game table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth wager.
If you do not win on the first bet, you take a hit of 1. A win on the initial bet followed by a hit on the second brings about a loss of 2. Success on the initial two with a defeat on the 3rd provides you with a profit of two. And wins on the 1st three with a defeat on the 4th means you balance the books. Winning all four bets gives you with twelve, a take of ten. This means you will be able to squander the 2nd wager five times for each successful run of four bets and in the end, experience no loss.
