Baccarat Rules

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are valued less than 10 are give a value of face value whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they purely portray the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards will then be given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand shall be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For eg, a hand of seven and five will have a tally of two (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card might be given out depending on the following rules:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have cash left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie typically pay out eight to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is not a good wager as ties will occur lower than one every 10 hands. be cautious of laying money on a tie. Still, odds are exceedingly better – nine to 1 versus eight to 1)

When played correctly, baccarat presents relatively good odds, away from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with many games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. One of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not a predictor of future outcomes. Staying abreast of old results on a chart is definitely a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and almost certainly most successful tactic is the 1-3-two-6 method. This method is employed to boost payouts and minimizing risk.

start by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. This means you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
