Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are of a value less than 10 are counted at face value whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they only portray the 2 hands to be played).
2 hands of two cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand shall be the sum of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven and 5 results in a total of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card may be given depending on the following protocols:
- If the bettor or banker has a value of eight or nine, both gamblers stand.
- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning bets on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even money minus a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have money left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie typically pay 8 to one but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a crazy gamble as ties will happen lower than 1 every ten hands. be wary of laying money on a tie. Nonetheless odds are radically better – nine to one versus 8 to one)
When played accurately, baccarat provides pretty decent odds, apart from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with every games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future happenings. Monitoring of old results on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most popular and possibly most successful tactic is the one-3-2-six concept. This method is deployed to increase winnings and reducing risk.
commence by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away four so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th gamble.
If you lose on the initial wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
