Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are valued under ten are counted at their printed value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they only represent the two hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards will then be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand is the total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of seven and five produces a tally of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card might be given out depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the player or banker has a total of 8 or nine, the two bettors stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores wins. Victorious bets on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have $$$$$ still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie customarily pay out 8 to 1 and sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a crazy bet as ties will happen less than 1 every 10 hands. Stay away from placing bets on a tie. However odds are exceedingly better – nine to 1 vs. eight to one)

Played accurately, baccarat provides relatively decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future results. Keeping track of previous outcomes on a chart is for sure a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and probably most successful strategy is the 1-3-two-six scheme. This plan is used to amplify payout and reducing risk.

Begin by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
